Description: Sr. Oracle DBA
We are currently working with our client in San Diego, CA who is looking for a perm Sr. Oracle DBA to hire.
Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
Develop application software in Oracle PL/SQL.
Design, from the ground up using the latest technology advance and incorporating the best practices gathered from Oracle's Application, Oracle Fusion Applications and adopt technology.
Strong Mobile Apps Development team you will administer the Databases, that support and integrate with Fusion applications.
Develop test strategy and test cases for integration testing of developed system components.
Analyze,and design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for end user applications. Design code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software development team you will perform high-level security of the databases provided specifications. Design develop and implement changes to existing software architecture. Support and resolve complex bugs with the Developers. Review integration and test plans created by data architects to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
  • Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment with changing requirements
  • Coordinates departmental workload and assignment tasks
  • 5 – 10 years of intensive Database Administration and Management emphasis on security and experience in Oracle PL/SQL including hands-on knowledge of Oracle Tuning on Unix platform preferred.
  • Should have excellent knowledge on all the database components and features of Oracle 19c database
  • Oracle Database Administrator to support a Financial database
  • Monitors database activity and file usage, and ensures necessary resources are present. Determines data to collect and analyzes information as appropriate.
  • Passionate about Database Administration, providing data security and working with Touch and leveraging best practices.
  • Oversees the analysis and determination of database performance characteristics, informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities for more complex databases. Recommends and implements tuning opportunities to improve system response and run times.
  • Provide input into the best security measures in Software Development schedules.
Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science with a solid foundation in data structure, algorithms, client server systems and object-oriented database design.
  • Deep understanding of the MVC pattern and common design patterns, with rest application architecture.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database and SQL.

  • Five or more years of experience in Physical standby configuration Data-Guard.
Oracle DBA Certifications a plus.
